Harrah's Hotel & Casino in Laughlin - Description

Harrah’s is the southernmost casino on Casino Drive in Laughlin NV. The Colorado River makes a nice little cove right behind the casino that provides a beautiful sandy beach and swimming area. The casino is covered with a southwest décor and provides both river and mountain views. With over 1500 rooms in three towers, including more than 150 suites, Harrah’s is a gem all of its own. The two pools overlook the river and the beach for great ambiance. There is a variety of services including a salon and day spa, fitness center and shopping in their large boutique and gift shop.

The casino is modern, with high ceilings and bright colors. Vegas style table games are set up in the middle of the casino, with all your favorite slots and video poker machines surrounding the tables. You can play live poker in their poker room or bet on sports in their large race and sports book. The casino also offers a separate section for those who wish to be in a non-smoking environment.

Harrah’s offers four restaurants to satisfy any tastes you might be after. The Range Steakhouse is great for that intimate setting and features the best in steak and seafood. If you’re looking for that south of the border experience than the Baja Blue Restaurant and Cantina will satisfy your every desire. The Beach Café is open 24 hours and has a variety of dishes on their menu. But if it’s a buffet that you’re looking for, look no further, The Fresh Market Square Buffet has something for everyone. Flavors from around the world abound with more than 162 entrees and 11 live action stations. Desert there is also an experience to behold.

Big name entertainment frequent Harrah’s often in either the Fiesta Showroom which seats up to 289 people in a comfortable relaxed indoor setting, or in the outdoor Amphitheatre which seats 3000 people in the spring and fall. Large convention rooms are also available with a variety of options to suit any and every need.

Harrah’s is a top notch resort and casino with a lot of amenities. The hotel caters mostly to the international crowd. It has full valet service and covered parking. Boat and RV parking are also available across Casino Drive. The river walk does not extend to Harrah’s, so if you want to go to another casino, the river taxi is your best bet. Harrah’s sits at the bottom of a hill so walking to another casino requires quite a bit of effort. You must first walk up the hill to Casino Drive and then walk down the hill to your next closest casino, which would be the River Palms. From there you can catch the river walk that extends all the way to the Riverside Casino.

I would give Harrah’s 8 out of 10 chips. The reason the score is not higher is the fact that Harrah’s is cut off from the rest of the casinos. But if buffets are what you’re looking for, then I would definitely have to raise the score.

I should have the 14 megapixel camera and the digital picture frame... but harrahs is screwing me over............. 12101289928 I was a diamond player ... they want to screw me over and lie to me about getting it, well I will never play a slot there again- its time for me to be a good player at a different casino.....

All Casinos need to take a look at Harrah's cocktail servers new procedures and technology using IPADs to order and drinks served with in minutes. We like the service and the people were friendly.

The layout to the parking lot sucks. It forces you to us valet to unload and load luggage. If you are handicapped good luck on finding a spot. The handicapped spots were full all the time.

Harrah's is showing its age in the rooms theyneed to be updated. They were clean and the housekeeping staff was great.
